SGP Milestone Body Update

The body segments are just about done, the arms need some more tweaking, and waiting to be connected. I really like method I'm using to construct her, using two different models in conjunction with a comic book character are giving me the results I wanted. See for yourself.

SGP Milestone Face Update

I settled on Elisha Cuthbert for my characters face, great call Joe. The shape of her face and features matches with my characters personality and body type. It has also occurred to me that many people don't know what she looks like. I started modeling her recently and it should be done by the end of the week, Milestone Deadline.

SGP Milestone 2

I've already started working on the character model for senior game, I'm running a little behind schedule in it's progress. I started trying a different method that I think will yield a higher quality model. I using three models to help development my character; Larisa Sinitza, Volchanskaya K., and a Power Girl character sheet for reference.
For the models face I have to decide between Gail Kim (wrestler), Jamie Eason (supermodel), or Elisha Cuthbert (actress). I'm leaning more towards Elisha Cuthbert. After I complete the base model I'll develop an asset list for her. Here's what I have so far...

Capstone Milestone 2 - Cleared

Thanks to the advice given to me by Kjerd Pederson of Double Fine, I was able to narrow down the scope of my scene. The block out is complete and now I'm working on an asset list for models I can add into project, as of now I have a blimp, monorail train, billboards, and satelitte dishes. If I have time I want to add some animations to the blimp and monorail trains.

Capstone Milestone 1 - Cleared

Just a quick on my environment progress, I've redone my milestones to fit the method my mentor uses and extended my research milestone by an additional week. I begin constructing a block mesh prototype of the environment tomorrow. The environment is a cityscape that works injunction with the character I'm creating. I decided to stick with the name, Ulster. The themes I'm focusing on are fantasy and sci-fi. The general feel of the environment is similar the Gotham City in the Dark Knight. My inspiration for this environment came from certain cityscape matte painting by Dylan Cole, and the Urban Forests gallery curated by William Couch on flickr.

SGP Milestone 1 - Cleared

Well I finally have the particulars figured out for my characters. I had to change some of my original ideas for her. I thought about adding glider-like retractable wings similar to a bat, but after thinking more about her affinity towards wind I decided on something similar to the drapes worn by Storm of the X-Men. My main references for her were Storm, Power Girl, Captain America, and Larxene (Kingdom Hearts). Her role is supporting to the antagonist figure. She works for one the game world's governments and is a fairly important officer. She still doesn't have name, but don't normally worry about that until near completion. I intend for to be tomboyish with an air of refinement. Now I need to find a model that fit better with her body closer to the proxy one I've been using. The real-life figures I've been thinking about are Gail Kim, Jamie Eason, or Elisha Cuthbert.

What's I have in Store

Happy New Year, everybody, Jack is back. For the next 3 months or so, I'll be returning to a series of projects for a game concept that I've been working on. Now that I have time to work on them, because of my new classes. Recently I found some old sketches of the character I'm doing, although she looks way too anime for my taste, I will post them later in the week when I scan them. The environment for the time being will be referred to as Ulster, after the Irish epic. I have a thing for world folklore and legend. I also for some renders from a environment project from the some series. After I complete this project I'm going back to revamp it.
Here are same of them ....
